The developmental course "Ethics of Behavior and Culture of Communication" contains cultural, high moral, ethical and spiritual values that are the basis of ethical behavior and cultural communication in the process of comprehensive personality development of primary school students. There are 3 main aspects of the developmental course "Ethical Behavior and Culture of Communication": 1) Ethical and cultural behavior in society. 2) Education of moral qualities and skills (politeness, respect and responsibility). 3) Development of beautiful and cultural language. Svitlana's professional principles are optimism, trust, respect and high morals in working with children and their parents, individual and holistic approach to each student.

Introduction. Ethics: The Science of Morals and Morality

  • Defining "ethics" and understanding its relation to the term "etiquette."
  • The role of "etiquette" in everyone's behavior.
  • Ethics as rules of behavior and attitudes towards others and oneself.
  • Introduction to etiquette rules and the golden rules of ethics.

Theme 1. How I Look

  • The concept of "appearance" (clothing, hairstyle, posture, gestures, facial expressions, language).
  • The significance of appearance to a person.
  • Demonstrating the need for careful treatment of personal items and maintaining order at one’s workplace in school and at home.
  • Differences in behavior between boys and girls.

Theme 2. School Etiquette

  • The concept of "etiquette" and "rules of behavior in class."
  • Demonstrating the necessity of these rules for class organization.
  • Role-playing game "I am in a Lesson."

Theme 3. Why It's Important to Be Polite

  • The concept of "politeness," "good habit," "bad habit."
  • Politeness as the most necessary and important habit of a person.

Theme 4. A Tale About Politeness

  • The concept of "fairy tale," "politeness," "action," "good deed," "bad deed," "ill-mannered person."

Theme 5. Good and Evil in Fairy Tales

  • Explain the concepts of "good is good," "fairy tale." The right attitude towards evil.
  • Demonstrating through fairy tales that good always overcomes evil because this victory is assisted by the Forces of Light, the Creator, nature, animals, birds, and people.

Theme 6. My Actions and My Parents

  • Explaining the concepts of "parents," "respect for parents."
  • Showing why it's important to appreciate good deeds, express care and attention to one's parents.

Theme 7. Student's Duties at School and at Home

  • The concept of "duty." Duties at school and at home.
  • Demonstrating the necessity of fulfilling duties. Duties towards parents, teachers, school, and class.

Theme 8. What Makes a Person Rich

  • Explaining the concepts of "wealth," "character," "treasure chest."
  • A person's wealth lies in their knowledge, readiness, and ability to help people, their country, the world, the planet.

Theme 9. Me and My Health

  • The concept of "health," "daily routine," "personal hygiene."
  • Daily routine and strengthening human health. Tips and recommendations.

Theme 10. Holiday Etiquette

  • Explaining the concepts of "holiday," "class celebration," "joyful emotions," demonstrating how these concepts are connected with understanding the emotional world of a person.
  • The Knightly Tournament of Politeness.

Theme 11. Our Class

  • The concept of "class," "community," "friendship," "common interests."
  • What is a class? What does it mean to be part of a community? How important is friendship among classmates?

Theme 12. Collective Creative Task

  • The concept of "creativity," "task," "collective project."
  • Organizing a collective creative task. Learning to collaborate together.

Course objective:

To teach students to be polite, friendly and morally conscious citizens who can make a positive contribution to society and maintain ethical standards in various aspects of their lives.
